Hatched in Rodbaston College's state-of-the-art coldwater hatchery, these carp are the progeny of fish from Orchid Lakes and the Carp Society's Horseshoe Lake. Waters known to produce fish over 40lb in weight.

  • There is potential for the fish farmed in Staffordshire to reach weights of 30lb+ in as little as 8 to 10 years.
  • They're fed on a complete, specialist carp pellet diet and all sizes are available from 4in to 20lb.
  • They are a mix of Commons, Morrors and fully scaled Mirror Carp.
  • Bouncing with vitality these brilliant looking fish tend to develop red-ish tinges on their lower fins, an eye catching "trademark" enhanced during growth.

Fish Reared in a Dedicated and Managed Growing Facility

Protected by anti-avian predator nets and wires, in an un-fished environment (No other species present). Carp virus-free stock with samples regularly tested by independent fish pathologists. EA Section 30 consents (and delivery) can be arranged if required.

Quintons Orchard's fish rearing facility is a successful diversification within a healthy arable and beef business. With generations of farming experience behind them, David Froggatt and his family do not take short-cuts or cloud the gene pool. They do everything to the highest standards to produce TOP CLASS stock.

Supacarp supplied our new stock for our new match lake and bridge pool.

The fish are fantastic quality, and growing well. The carp are very hard fighting and anglers comment on how pretty they are. Just what they want.

The tench and crucians are quality fish too and our anglers are very happy with them.

OUR STOCK

All our stock fish are grown in natural spring fed pools, protected by anti-auian predator nets and wires.

They are fed on a specially formed diet which incorporates a specialist pellet and whole grain cereals along with us encouraging as much natural food intake as possible. This ensures healthy and varied diet which means our fish have very good muscle growth rather than just pure fat weight gain. This we feels adds to the life expectancy and overall health of our fish.

Our entire stock are free from KHV, SVC and other terminal diseases, CEEFAS carry out regular site inspections and stock tests. Our stock are also independently health checked every six months by dish pathologies, which in-turn with our strict biosecurity plan we implement on the farm means that we believe our stock are some of the most healthy and fastest growing British farmed fish available on the market.

All our larger carp are hand-picked out for their shape, scale pattern and growth and are grown on outdoor spring fed stock pools.

Our Strains

We believe our strain of carp to be one of the finest.

Our stock are the progeny of fish from Orchid Lakes and the Carps Societies Horseshoe Lake cross and English Leaney cross. Which over many years have been selected and bred by Rod Baston College in a state of the art cold water hatchery to produce some of the best looking and fastest growing British strain of carp around.

Growth

Our best one year fish to date reached 2lb 3oz

Our best two year fish to date reached 5lb 8oz

Our best three year fish to date reached 8lb 10oz

We believe that there is potential to reach 30lb plus in as little to eight to ten years.

Delivering nationwide to some of the best day ticket and syndicate waters in the county.

What Larford Lakes have to say: Larford Lakes

After doing many hours research on where to purchase stock from, I opted for fishfarmuk, after speaking with owner David and his manager Lee it was evident they were passionate about carp, I met David and explained I was setting up a syndicate carp fishery, David netted some of his second summer carp to show me there stock, and that was enough for me! Strain and scale patterns were fantastic along with stunning colours,
I explained what I was looking for in size, shape, scales and weight, delivery was organised for February 2013 and Lee delivered as arranged, all the fish were beyond my expectations and I have since had a second stocking (all doubles) the fish have grown on with excellent weight gains, and I have since placed another order for early 2014...

I highly recommend Lee, David and staff for their good service help and advice.Lee in particular spent plenty of time organising and helping us make the right decisions as to quantity needed to make our lakes successful.

A big thank you from all at fisherwick lakes.

The fish David supplied are excellent and stunning. Everyone who catches them comments on how brilliant they look," said Angle owner Ann Adlington.

Winters can be cold in the Gateshead area but Ann's fish, stocked two and a bit years ago at 6 to 8 ounces, have already reached the 3lb+ mark.

"They appear to have spawned and small ones are regularly appering in catches.

80 Members of Alvis AC decided to invest in Staffordshire Carp and were over the moon 8 months later. "We had them at a shade under half a pound and some are now 4 to 5 pounds," said secretary Nev Charnell. " We just can't believe how fast they are growing."

Stocked into Willen South at 5 to 8 ounces in very early January these "Supa-Carp" were caught to weights in excess of 3lbs in June of the same year. "Bruno said that, given mild winters, they have the potential to reach 35 to 45 lbs within 10 years... and for their weight they fight like fury," said MKAA Chairman Trevor Johnson.

Creating a 'Canal style' lake, Curborough Hall Fishery's owners stocked Davids Staffordshire Carp of just under 8 ounces. Including silvers, manager Chris Norton estimates stock density at around 2000 lb an acre and though competition for food is fairly high, the carp are averaging 2 lb+ after just one summer. "We are pleased, they're growing well and are just what are customers want" said Chris
